Our Story
Yellow Balloon Bakery was started in July of 2021 by Chef Montana Page and his wife Melanie. Chef Montana's dream has always been to bake and sell quality, hand made artisan breads, cakes, pies, and pastries. He has spent years honing and perfecting his craft and is now bringing his talents to the masses!
What's in a name?
Many people have asked where the name Yellow Balloon Bakery comes from. In December of 2019 Chef Montana and Melanie lost their son Peyton to a congenital heart defect at the age of twelve. On what would have been Peyton's thirteen birthday, Montana's baking mentor and dear friend, Nancy Weller wrote a song called "Yellow Balloon" that describes the prayers and wishes we send to our loved ones in heaven. Giving the bakery this name is their way of honoring Peyton and the amazing life that he lived.
